Brisbane centre Jack Reed has been ruled out of Thursday night's NRL home clash with Canberra due to a shoulder injury he has been carrying since the pres-season.

Reed has been replaced by Jordan Kahu with Greg Eden filling the wing vacancy.

"He has been brave. No one has forced him to play but he is at a point now where we have to make a decision," said Bennett, who confirmed Reed's shoulder would undergo an arthroscope.
