NRL heavyweights Brisbane and North Queensland have been forced into a combined 11 changes for this weekend's matches due to State of Origin commitments.

The Broncos, who have six stars in Queensland camp, have named two debutants for Friday's match against the Wests Tigers, while the Cowboys will blood young five-eighth Jahrome Hughes.

Canberra pair Shaun Fensom and Iosia Soliola and St George Illawarra's Benji Marshall have also been included to make their returns from injury.
