Brisbane forward Adam Blair has no need to apologise to teammate Sam Thaiday despite inflicting a chicken wing tackle on his fellow Bronco in last week's Anzac Test.

Blair has been suspended for this Saturday's NRL clash with Manly for the incident - prompting ex-Bronco Gorden Tallis to label the Kiwi international dirty - but Thaiday says the matter was just one of those things that happen on a football field.

"We're playing for our countries, playing a hard game ... there was no need for any apology," Thaiday said.
